Now what about something more recent? This is from Duncan Grey’s label, Tici Taci. It’s actually by Mark Pember aka Meat Katie from the nu-skool breaks scene back in the 2000s. But this one has definitely been one of the biggest chuggers of 2024. Yeah I know I said I didn’t want to use that word but it’s the best way to describe this one, ok? Those kind of low-slung drums are always going to be very popular for us, even if I can never remember the name of the bloody track because of the perils of digital media over playing bloody records.
