This one might be obvious, but it had a profound effect on me. I discovered it at the record shop which I was going to every lunch break during high school. It’s a record made of tons of little treasures imbued with crazy charm. Also, at that time I had stopped listening to Tangerine Dream to focus on rap, and all of a sudden there was this instrumental hip-hop record which was bringing me back to them through the sample, which was a kind of loop in time in itself. With of course, a deep nostalgia, because it brought back and alive music I associated to these two periods in my past, the time of production and my childhood. My relationship with music is made of nostalgia; I don’t get why it should be a bad thing to use it to bring back memories and buried emotions. In fact, I hadn’t checked out this record for some time, I think I will go through it again now…
