Perhaps one of my favorite discoveries of the last ten years – from the eccentricity of the lyrics and song structure to the hook-to-minute ratio this is an album you can return to again and again. Of all the bands and albums accorded deluxe reissue campaigns the Verlaines are most deserving and long overdue.
