13. Johann Sebastian BachCello Suite No.5

When I was learning cello, my mother would play me classical music. And of course the cello suites were in the repertoire and we had the most famous guys, the Yo-Yo Ma version and the Rostropovich version. I was very into the Rostropovich version, but the one that I most connected to was the C minor suite. It felt so good and when I played it I felt I was floating with the cello. It has a minor vibe, it’s melodic in a very day way. I sometimes still play it for fun – recently I had pictures taken of me playing, I had to play something, so I played the C minor.
