The rumours have been a-rumbling around now for quite some time – and now it’s been confirmed: Pulp are reuniting for a series of festival shows next summer. The mid-90s line-up – including Russell Senior – will play London’s Hyde Park festival on Sunday, July 3rd, as well as Primavera Sound in Barcelona on the last weekend in May. Tickets for the London gig go onsale this Friday.
Not ones to merely send out a press release, Pulp have also launched the website Pulppeople.com, which poses cryptic questions such as "is this chance to reappraise the past through the prism of the present day? Let’s find out shall we"… and also, because these reunions can be risky things "is this an accident waiting to happen?" "is this really necessary?" and "is it an excuse for a good old knees up?" Answers will be found next summer.
