Former Stone Roses singer Ian Brown has claimed his new record My Way, which will be released on September 28, was inspired by later pop icon Michael Jackson.
Brown said: "Thriller was our blueprint. Every time we wrote a song we didn’t think was strong enough, we scrapped it. We mastered it on the day that Michael Jackson died too, so I’m taking that as a good omen."
The album will be preceded by the release of a single, ‘Stellify’, on September 21.
