The Coral Recruit John Leckie For New LP

First album for Liverpool band in three years

The Coral have revealed they are working with former Radiohead and Stone Roses producer John Leckie on their new album.

Singer James Skelly told NME.com that the album – the follow-up to 2007’s Roots and Echoes – is likely to be released this year.

He also spoke about the departure of former guitarist Bill Ryder-Jones had influenced the record, saying: "It’s a bit different because Bill’s left, but it still sounds like The Coral.

"There’s no point trying to replace him or compete, it’s just a different thing."
