Mogwai New Album Plans

Scottish rockers plan new LP for 2010

Scottish noise merchants Mogwai hope to start work on a new album next year.

Guitarist and vocalist Stuart Braithwaite told BBC 6 Music that the band are planning on recording the follow up to 2008’s The Hawk Is Howling in 2010.

He said: "We’ve earmarked all of next year for doing it.

"I think that everyone’s trying out things at home and probably early next year, we’ll get together and laugh at how bad everybody’s attempts at making music are."

He also suggested that the band will tour next year as well, adding: "When we do a new record we’ll probably come and play everywhere for a change."
