Madonna is releasing a sequel to her classic 2005 album Confessions On A Dance Floor.

The new record, titled Confessions II, sees her rekindle her partnership with producer Stuart Price, who worked on the original album. Ahead of the release of a lead single, she has shared a visual teaser of new music, which you can watch below.

In a statement, Madonna said: “People think that dance music is superficial, but they’ve got it all wrong. The dance floor is not just a place, it’s a threshold: A ritualistic space where movement replaces language.”

When Stuart Price and I first started working on this record, this was our manifesto: We must dance, celebrate, and pray with our bodies. These are things that we’ve been doing for thousands of years – they really are spiritual practices. After all, the dance floor is a ritualistic space. It’s a place where you connect – with your wounds, with your fragility. To rave is an art. It’s about pushing your limits and connecting to a community of like-minded people.”

Warner will release Confessions II on 3 July 2026.
