Pop sensation La Roux has revealed she feels sorry for fellow singer Little Boots after her album ungraciously slipped down the charts.
After Hands entered the charts at number five only to drop to number the following week, La Roux told the Daily Star: "The reaction she got was so unfair. Hype can be a very dangerous thing, it can accelerate people’s expectations.
"We felt the same about our album but we have got away with it."
She also blamed the media should shoulder some of the blame for "creating too much hype about new artists who are then expected to secure bestselling records”.
