Arctic Monkeys have stated that their new single is "strange".
‘Crying Lightning’ is released next month, but frontman Alex Turner told BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe: ""This was deemed the best signifier of the record. It was a favourite during recording.
"It’s strange as far as a pop song goes."
He added: "We’ve enjoyed making it more than the other two put together. It does really feel like we’re getting somewhere."
