7. Neil YoungHarvest / After The Goldrush

This cassette was just played over and over. I saw Neil Young many times. He was playing in San Francisco and I went by myself, I saw him in Finsbury Park, I saw him with my best friend in Ireland. He’s another Scorpio like I am. He made such beautiful albums. I tried to learn the guitar because of him. He got me into all the singer-songwriters that followed. It opened up lots of interest in other bands, such as Sodastream.

You can’t beat those old classics. Even if you’re a musician now writing an acoustic record, you simply can’t beat the originals. Neil Young had a massive impact on the way I listened to music. He’s a funny person with a dry sense of humour. A man of few words, but when he does speak, he’s quite entertaining.
