I am a big fan of ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’, as well as such fine musical compositions as ‘Stars & Stripes’, ‘America The Beautiful’ and ‘God Bless, America’, and I’m sure those are all favorite of yours as well. But for my selection here, I have taken the liberty (pun intended) of choosing this inspiring recitation by that great American actor, John Wayne. Set to music, the Duke dramatically evokes the glory of a great nation. And yes, I know, some would call it corny. Some would call it sentimental. But I call it, America… and if it’s good enough for Duke, it’s good enough for me.
