I don’t know how these Canadians made such a quintessential American record but they did. I’m gonna chalk it up to Levon Helm, a true god among men. I think Robbie Robertson is the only non-family member who can visit Leonard Peltier in prison, which is pretty crazy. I don’t know if it makes up for him claiming most of The Band’s royalties, but still.
