Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

7. Panda BearReset

Spacemen 3 were from Rugby and I was in Northampton where they’d gig a lot. I was aware of them as a pub band and was a big fan, so there’s a long connection with Sonic Boom. I love the album Panda Bear did called Person Pitch, a really great, layered, psychedelic record. I was pretty excited about the idea of them doing an album together and it’s joyous, a real celebration. I love what they’ve done, looping the first bars of these old rock & roll records and turning them into something that’s old and new at the same time. It’s a really fun record.
