3. The BeatlesAbbey Road

I only listened to the radio when I was growing up, because I didn’t have a record player, so I was introduced to artists song by song. I never went out and bought a massive collection. Even later on, when I DJed, I DJed 45s, which was super fun. But there are LPs that change the game, and this one was a game-changer. I will put this record on at any given moment. It does not get old to me. I love the sonics of this album, and the way The Beatles went from super lo fi, but amazing, harmonies when they were young, to making some of the greatest-sounding records ever, to this day. I spent two birthdays at Abbey Road studios. We’ve done everything there, from live sessions to recording [a 2006 cover of the Skids’ 1978 single] ‘The Saints Are Coming’ with U2, to BBC session stuff.
