10. The WhoWho’s Next

My mom and dad had this record laying around, and when I finally got ahold of it, again it was one of those albums that took me to a different place. I love records that can do that. The album cover is one of the best of all time: it’s got that giant monolith, and it’s bold. To me, this album has a tenderness to it that you don’t see in a lot of records. I thought The Who always held their quality, I always felt that they always had a formidable single to drop with the albums that they were doing. They defined an era. It was loud music, too, which I liked because of the metal bands I listened to as a kid. I was a big Van Halen fan back then, and I liked Diary Of A Madman by Ozzy Osbourne, as well as Mötley Crüe’s first album, Too Fast For Love, which was a great, raw record.
