12. LCD SoundsystemSound Of Silver

I needed to pick something from the last ten years and this is probably my favourite one from that timeframe. It was everywhere that year [2007] – pretty hard to avoid! Anyway, I guess some of my other records come from the 1981 period, e.g. New Order, and LCD Soundsystem use a lot of those kind of era sounds. There’s a bit of Talking Heads in there too. They just make some great songs about New York, particularly Manhattan. You know, it has this great energy to it but it’s still just become for the rich and I’m hyper aware of that.
