Baker's Dozen

Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

My favourite record and one that has an effect on me every I time I put it on. I first heard it at a crucial time in my mid-teens, when searching for music suddenly became the most exciting thing I had ever known. The opening snare roll alone is a continual reminder of that euphoric rush of discovery, while the beautiful intensity of the production is something I’ve returned to countless times in the studio. The band may have nearly lost their minds when arduously making it but, to me, it’s an album full of joy and hope.
