9. Death in VegasSatan’s Circus

I’m a fan of records that go against the grain of expectation. After two hugely successful, guitar-based albums, Richard Fearless decided to return to the dustier corners of his mind and make a record that was his take on the techno and electro records he was playing in nightclubs at weekends. The record label dropped them the day they handed it in but, for me, this was the band’s masterpiece. It came out at exactly the time I started DJing and I would play something from it every single week. Eleven years later I sit writing this in my studio, doors open in an attempt to coax in any sort of breeze. Next door Fearless is blasting out some new ideas from his metal box and it sounds like a further progression in an already inspiring career.
