10. David BowieThe Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars
This was probably the record that got me into albums. I heard it in ’72, and that’s when I got into Bowie. And I suppose for four years after that I questioned my sexuality, because I liked Bowie that much. It wasn’t until I was 16 that I realised I was probably heterosexual. But I loved Bowie, I was obsessed with Bowie. You know like little girls have pictures of One Direction? My whole bedroom was covered in David Bowie, and I think my dad thought I was gay, and I was going "maybe I am too". But it turned out I liked girls. I think Bowie changed a lot of attitudes to bisexuality and homosexuality, and he never gets enough respect for that.
