Sheffield crooner Richard Hawley will release the single ‘For Your Lover Give Some Time’ on August 10.
The single will be the first release from his new album Truelove’s Gutter, which is out on September 21.
Speaking about the subject of the song, Richard said: "think this is a fairly honest and slightly wry look at lovers, as time goes by, especially long term relationships. It’s a warning not to take things for granted – now and again you should buy a bunch of flowers randomly. Don’t let the calendar push your buttons. Don’t buy flowers just on Valentine’s Day. It’s just being honest about the way love changes.”
The singer has also announced a UK tour for October, and will play the following dates:
