Tonight, 29th June, one of Detroit techno’s originators, Juan Atkins, is headlining the first night of Dollop’s Detroit Series (see full details here), at Netil House in Hackney. Joining the man who brought you such seminal tracks as ‘No UFOs’, ‘The Chase’ and ‘Night Drive (Thru Babylon)’ will be Simian Mobile Disco (DJ), Dave Congreve, Charles Drakeford, Lixo, and Dollop DJs. In advance of tonight’s event, Dollop managed to snag some time with Atkins himself for a video interview, which you can watch above. The whole event will be streamed live via The Boiler Room for those who can’t make it down, but if it tickles your fancy (as well it might), click here for tickets.
