Tim Hecker has released one of our favourite albums of the year so far, Ravedeath, 1972.
On October 10 Kranky are releasing a companion piece – or prequel – if you will – of sketches recorded before recording the album. This collection will be called Dropped Pianos and will be available on all formats.
All of the pieces are piano recordings and minimal in nature and we are told that this is a "peek behind the curtain" at Hecker’s working process.
