Sludge rockers extraordinaire Melvins have got a covers album, Everybody Loves Sausages (artwork above), on the way, which features a cover of Queen’s ‘You’re My Best Friend’. Don’t expect a hint of guitar grime though; it’s a rather smooth cover, with the Melvins bringing out their very best Casio keyboard and Caleb Benjamin of Tweak Bird doing a nice turn on the vocals – listen to it over at Noisey.
The album’s out on April 30 via Ipecac Recordings, and after its release they’ll be touring Europe, including a couple of stops in London at Electric in Brixton May 19 and 20.
