LISTEN: BI – ‘Surf & Turf’

Stream BI's debut single - a collaboration between Eric Copeland and Jimmy Hey, released through Ford & Lopatin's label - below

Eric Copeland of Black Dice and Jimmy Hey of Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti and Glass Candy have got together under the name BI to make “cosmic pop bonk”, and here’s our first taste of the results.

First single ‘Surf ’n’ Turf’ was released yesterday via Ford & Lopatin’s Software label, and is as left-field and upbeat as we’d expect from the duo, amply represented by the blurb accompanying the track’s release: “A little more bubblegummy… Totally American sounding… Humid sunset production to bent pop song writing. Maybe like the Tall Dwarfs meets ELO… Yeah, right there. The sweet spot.” There’s probably not much more that needs saying, really. Take a listen below.
