Slash is the latest musician to lend his support to the Democrats and Barack Obama as the US presidential campaign hots up. Why does the devil have all the good music, screams a fat man in a sweat-stained white shirt, somewhere south.
"I think Obama’s great," he told NME radio. "It’s the first time in eight years I’ve heard somebody speak English. I think it’s refreshing to see someone who’s reasonably intelligent come in.
"I agree with a lot of his stuff. There are a couple of things I’m concerned with, but all things considered I think he’s the best candidate for the job."
