Contrary to this morning’s news, Pink Floyd have confirmed that they will not be performing at the closing ceremony of London 2012.
Yesterday, Ed Sheeran told the Australian radio station Nova that he would be performing ‘Wish You Were Here’ with the band. However, Pink Floyd have released a statement this afternoon denying this. Their announcement reads:
"In response to press speculation, Pink Floyd state that the band is NOT performing at the Closing Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games."
