Firstly, an apology to Geoff Barrow for our habit of taking what he writes on Twitter and turning it into news stories. His righteous anti-marketing blast last week ended up all over the press, and Clash Magazine (as they often do) got the wrong end of the stick. Anyway, today Barrow has hinted on his Twitter that we’re all mistaken in thinking that Portishead are to put out a new album this year. Thus he writes: "Dunno where the news came from that we are releasing this year, unless like some other bands we get someone else to write it for us!"
