This Friday afternoon we’re pleased to wave in your general direction music from new Melbourne group New War, yet another great band from that fertile city and one whose percussive, at times dub-tinged intensity sits nicely alongside existing Quietus favourites My Disco and HTRK. The track we’re streaming, ‘Revealer’, is one of the poppier moments from their self-titled debut album, which comes out on Fast Weapons, the label run by The Gossip’s Nathan Howdeshell… "Gossip played with New War in Australia, our minds were blown ever since," Nathan tells us. "Chris P. (New War vocalist) played in Shoplifting with Gossip’s drummer Hannah, everything those kids do is cutting edge with glass.
