Claire Boucher, aka Montreal-based bedroom pop artist Grimes, has signed to 4AD for the release of her upcoming album Visions. She announced her <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/Grimezsz/status/153971883564466177" target=out">signing on Twitter yesterday. It’s due to be released in the US on Feburary 21st, and March 12th elsewhere.
4AD are giving away a track from Visions, entitled ‘Genesis’, which you can download via the widget below. It finds her voice drifting lazily above crisp percussion and pillowy electro pop synths.
Visions arrives off the back of a rather busy 2011 for Boucher, when she re-released her debut cassette Geidi Primes through No Pain In Pop, and a split EP with d’Eon through the excellent Hippos In Tanks label.
