LISTEN: New Jon Hopkins Single

Domino Records recording artiste Mr Jon Hopkins has made the first single from his excellent, forthcoming LP Immunity available on his Soundcloud. The nearly-eight-minute ‘Open Eye Signal’ is a wonderfully full, earthy-sounding piece of motorik technopop, with glorious treacly synth bits, hazy female vocal ‘oooo’… it’s like a spaceship purposefully hoving into view over a timber-framed milking shed, somewhere in sylvan England. You can listen below, and Immunity is out on June 2nd with a launch bash at Village Underground on June 12th.
