Iggy Pop has had a bunch of "priceless" guitars stolen at a festival in Montreal. That’ll teach the silly bugger to stop popping into the crowd every ten minutes.
The haul of gear, which included drums and amps, was inside a rented trucked that was parked outside the Embassy Suite Hotel in the Canadian city.
One of the missing items was a Gibson bass belonging to Mike Watt of the Minuteman. The Stooges tour manager Eric Fischer gnashed his teeth, wailed and beat his breast to the Detroit Free Press: "That bass would go in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame some day if we could find it. We’re all just gutted."
