Sofa-surfing enthusiast Ed Sheeran will be performing with Pink Floyd at the Olympics closing ceremony, report the NME.
Speaking to Australian radio station Nova, Sheeran said: "I’m playing the closing ceremony – which I think is kinda cool right? A lot of people think that I’m doing a song with The Who but I’m not – I’m doing a song with Pink Floyd. I’m doing ‘Wish You Were Here’."
The singer added that not all the surviving members of Pink Floyd would be performing, with only Nick Mason definitely involved, which means that either Roger Waters or Dave Gilmour, or in fact neither, will be there.
While the exact line-up from the closing ceremony is being kept under wraps, The Who, Muse, Kaiser Chiefs, Take That, George Michael and Emeli Sandé have been confirmed, while Fact add that Madonna, performing her Nicki Minaj and MIA-featuring ‘Gimme All Your Luvin’, and Oasis are both rumoured to be on the bill.
