Black Sabbath Go Online For First Time

Back catalogue available digitally in UK from today

Black Sabbath’s back catalogue has been made available digitally for the first time in the UK as of today, March 30th.

Universal are offering downloaders access to the seminal metal band’s canon on the likes of iTunes and Amazon, as well as at streaming sites like Spotify, Napster and We7.

The news coincides with the physical, deluxe edition re-release of Black Sabbath’s second album Paranoid, originally issued in 1970.

Universal MD Brian Rose hailed the move as a “significant step”, adding that ’til now Black Sabbath’s had been “one of the most iconic catalogues to be missing from the digital market”.
