A Radio 3 moment – It stuck and had a deep effect on me and is a huge influence on ‘A Year In Small Paintings’. Perhaps I was looking to understand ways of writing over a longer form, to hold a musical narrative – I realise in hindsight how much this piece was giving me when I thought I was just enjoying.
