10. Son HouseDeath Letter

I like a lot of old blues from the 20s until the 60s. Of course there are some later or newer artists that I like, but it’s mainly the earlier stuff. Son House has an amazing voice, and his way of playing the guitar is amazing. This album is from the year 1964, but he made his first recordings in the early 30s. Some of this old blues is very pure; it’s very strong and pure and real. I also like the original rockabilly, and I’m a big fan of Link Wray. I saw him play live twice, once in Finland in the early 80s and then once in New York. I think he’s a really good example that what matters is your attitude, not your technique or anything like that. His playing could be quite awkward technically sometimes, but he still is one of the greatest guitarists ever. I play guitar also, I have two electric guitars and have been doing music with them, but technically I can not play at all. I just play them in my own way. I enjoy playing them physically. I like the feeling and the sounds you can create with them.
