11. Rufus and Chaka KhanRufusized

Chaka Khan as a vocalist, is just peerless, really. I don’t know anyone really else who is into funk so I followed my own paths to this. People around me seemed to not take funk seriously but I thought that it was just sublime, this record especially. I actually think it’s also influenced a lot of the post-punk stuff that I love, such as Gang Of Four and I can trace a lot of the other music I love back to this record.
