They were huge in Texas, which was surprising, but thinking about it, it was real existential. I could say "Texas-stential". The wide-open plains – it makes sense. They’d sell out the Texas stadium in the 80s/90s, 50 thousand people or something, massive, and then you’d get these shitkickers there watching this dude in drag, face all painted. It was pretty cool.

It’s the song writing that’s as good as it gets – it’s intriguing and it’s just out of your reach so you want to know more about it.
