Baker's Dozen

Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

From the first single this album really sucked me in. A lot of the production is by this Australian duo Finatik N Zac. I think it’s the best rap album I’ve heard since Vince Staples Big Fish Theory. In terms of a really mainstream album it’s quite weird, but also accessible, which can be quite rare. The whole album is about his hometown which I relate to quite a lot. I love the closeness of it and the way he talks about his family. There’s a sadness to it, but it’s also really sweet at the same time. It’s my favourite record from the past few years for sure.
