6. Captain BeefheartTrout Mask Replica
With Trout Mask Replica, it sounded so unlike anything else we had heard before. That was appealing to us. Because so often, you’d hear something and you’d think “you know, that sounds like something else” and with Trout Mask Replica, it really didn’t. It just sounded like them. No other band was sounding like that at the time. We had that album and all the other Beefheart albums when they came out as well.
