7. CreamDisraeli Gears

Fresh Cream had stayed in the charts forever and ever, slowly getting higher and higher but Disraeli Gears went straight in at the top. Psychedelic? I don’t know. Cream were two bands, you know, a studio band and a live band and there was a big difference between the two. There were a lot of things we did in the studio that we couldn’t have done live. I didn’t prefer one over the other, they were both great. Was it hard to make the time to record? No, it was all planned. It never took more than two weeks to make any of those albums. A couple of weeks in the studio, then go on tour.
