This sounds like a dub record. And it sounds like lovers rock in that it has that seductive, sexy space. It’s a little bit Janet Kay or Susan Cadogan. She’s dressed up to the nines in the cocktail lounge, and she wants that guy on the dance floor, so it’s unrequited love. There’s longing, and the fear of the night ending.
