Why this one? I mean it could have been Harvest, or any of his early albums, but I like this one because it had a lot of ballads I loved, and it had the country vibe…‘Only Love Can Break Your Heart’, I love that song so much. But also, ‘Cripple Creek Ferry’. It’s funny, I’m looking at the length of these songs and they are short! ‘Southern Man’ was obviously his most controversial, but I’m looking at the length of the album, 34 minutes. When I think of Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere, ‘Cowgirl In The Sand’ is 10 minutes long. That album was so cool, but After The Gold Rush was something else, and his falsetto. It just brings me back to listening to the album in my basement.
