5. Zenobia

Guido: They try to create a sound that combines dabke and their admiration for Daft Punk. They claim they want to be the Palestinian Daft Punk. They chose the name Zenobia in reference to a Syrian queen or princess. They’re an electronic duo from Haifa and they’re also on our label. They’re very different from Rozzma whose music is often dark and experimental. Zenobia’s sound is all about the party on 4/4 beats with great keyboards lines.   Hervé: It can also sound cheesy when you compare it to our first release which was Rozzma. Rozzma is so crazy, he has this wide universe. They are very different but I really, really like them. We love them both even if they’re so different.    Guido: ‘KSR KSR KSR’ is definitely a party track. They have put everything into it to make it a big party track: big beats, big bass, big synthesiser. Everything sounds good on this track, and also we’ve played it countless times in our DJ set and it’s always a great moment.
