Pioneering producer and On-U Sound founder Adrian Sherwood will be celebrating the launch of his new album, Survival & Resistance with a live dub DJ set next Friday, 13th July. The Village Underground’s Dub Sessions Vol 1 will be something of a multi-generational affair, and a neat summation of how the spirit of restless innovation typical of Sherwood’s output still resonates through the contemporary underground today: Mark Pritchard and Steve Spacek will be presenting their gleefully eclectic Africa Hitech project, while Micachu and Kwes will appear under their collaborative Kwesachu moniker. DJ support will come from Ross Allen.
