If you’re out and about in London this Saturday 23rd June, head across to the attic of Shoreditch’s Bedroom Bar for the first edition of a new monthly event entitled The Other Side. The night’s remit promises "a monthly shindig in the attic with a heavy nod to Afro & Latin through disco, funk, house, Latin – a sort of join the dots mix up from Haiti to Harlem," and for this first edition the Quietus have been asked to provide guest tunes. Expect a mix up that represents a wide array of the sounds we cover on the site. Also playing on the night are resident DJs Chris Franck (Da Lata) and Tyne (Ceviche), and full details are available here.
Future events are set to feature Jazzman Gerald of Jazzman Records (21 July) and 6Music’s Tom Ravenscroft (18 Aug).
