In November, Animal Collective will be embarking on a tour of the UK and Ireland in support of their forthcoming album Centipede Hz. The new album is the follow up to 2009’s hyped-to-the-heavens (and chillwave-spawning) Merriweather Post Pavilion.
As we previously reported, Centipede Hz is set to be released on Monday September 3rd 2012 through Domino. As well as the trio of Avey Tare, Geologist and Panda Bear, the band’s fourth member Deakin makes a full return to the fold on this album, following a sabbatical that saw him sidestep the furore surrounding their last album. The avant-pop collective are known for their wide ranging and freeform live shows, but after over a decade of experimental-psych offerings are they still capable of pushing the envelope?
