As we’ve previously reported, Neneh Cherry and free jazz beasts The Thing are set to release a collaborative album, The Cherry Thing, on 18th June. It’s an intriguing and successful hook-up, featuring covers of everyone from Ornette Coleman and Don Cherry to MF DOOM.
In advance of the album’s release Kieran Hebden, aka Four Tet, has remixed ‘Dream Baby Dream’ into a warm, jazzy house stomp. It builds to a total freakout about two-thirds of the way through, in keeping with the volatile nature of his source material.
