It’s been a while since we’ve heard any music from Not Not Fun/100% Silk label boss Amanda Brown’s LA Vampires project, which over the last couple of years has been responsible for a 12" of molten dancefloor stylings in collaboration with Ital, and the stunning LP So Unreal, in collaboration with Matrix Metals. The former member of Pocahaunted returns this month with a new 12" as LA Vampires, and in keeping with past form, this time she’s joined forces with 100% Silk house head Octo Octa. The 12", entitled LA Vampires By Octo Octa, will be released next week. Meanwhile, watch the video for ‘Freedom 2K’ above – far less of a chaotic noise vortex than previous LA Vampires recordings, it finds her on unusually smooth pop-dancefloor form.
